Sara was attentive, knowledgeable, extremely kind, and has a killer music playlist. On the glacier hike specifically, she gave clear instructions, reviewed safety guidelines thoroughly, and made sure everyone was wicked comfortable. I wish I had her as my guide for all my excursions. The HIGHLIGHT was it was my birthday and she kindly surprised me with a slice of cake along the way. So unexpected, but so grateful. I was really appreciative of that. HIGHLY recommend SARA!!!”

I think the tour is a bit expensive especially if the guide expecting tip, as the geologist already said to as after she collected as that tipping is expected. Otherwise is a nice tour and i am recommending, but if i have car rented i wont pay for it agin as everyone can walk on the volcano on their own.”

“This is one of the most exilerating adventures I have ever done. The guide was exceptional. He explained everything we needed to know about safety, the history of the areas we visited, and was a generally a great person. I will tell you that it is very strenuous and you need to be in good shape. But the Glacier is beautiful, the scenery is fabulous. It's a small group tour, we had only 14 people.”

“Our activity got canceled, but it was very easy tog et rescheduled. We were very glad we did! Our driver was amazing and was able to navigate the F roads with ease in the bus. Our guide was also fantastic making sure everyone stayed on the trail, giving us information about the area, and making sure we finished the joke with plenty of time for the hot springs without rushing us. Landmannalaugar is a very underrated area in Iceland, and I cannot recommend it enough!”

“What an amazing day! The falls were beautiful, the black sand beach was unique, but the glacier hike- unforgettable and stunningly beautiful! We are more “mature” in age than most of our fellow hikers, but had no issues in keeping up so don’t let that stop you from this once in a lifetime experience. “A fun, informative, unique experience! The glacier explorer tour provides a great opportunity to hike the glacier in a safe way with an experienced guide. You are provided a helmet, harness, ice pick axe, and crampons. They have boots available for rent, if needed. After a short safety briefing and gearing up, there is a short bus ride to the glacier (15 minutes). The hike starts with about a .75 mile walk to the glacier. From there, we spent about three hours exploring on the ice. This is a hike, there is no climbing of ice walls and no prior experience is needed. It is a physical activity for sure…”

“Our guide Rob was awesome. Endless energy. Adequate stops for restrooms and food. We visited all the waterfalls with time to explore and of course the glacier hike. No question: this is a hike. If you have any physical limitations, this is not for you. It was more than I could have imagined. Literally feeling like you're on the top of the world! Nothing was rushed, we ended up with a smaller group for the hike and that was great. The last stop was the black sands beach there's a nice cafe for a cold one if you're tired as I was.
